    About this tool

Teachers use name wheels to pick students fairly, streamers and shops use them for giveaways, and friends use them to settle where to eat. The winner is decided by your browser’s cryptographically secure random generator, so every slice has exactly the same chance — the animation only shows the result.

Tick “Remove winner after spin” to draw several winners without repeats, like pulling names from a hat. Your list is remembered in this browser, so a class list is ready next time.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is the wheel really random?

Yes. The stopping point comes from crypto.getRandomValues, so each slice is equally likely regardless of where the wheel starts.

How many names can I add?

Up to 200. With many names the text gets small, so for big lists the Random Team Generator or Random Number Generator may be easier.

    Can I pick multiple winners?

Yes — tick “Remove winner after spin” and spin once per winner. Previous winners are listed below.
