About this tool
Text copied from a PDF often has a line break at the end of every printed line, so it pastes as a narrow column. “Join broken lines” turns single line breaks into spaces while keeping real paragraph breaks (blank lines). “Remove all line breaks” makes everything one paragraph — handy for form fields that don’t accept new lines.
Invisible characters such as non-breaking spaces from web pages and Word documents are converted to normal spaces too, so double spaces you can’t see are cleaned up.
Frequently asked questions
How do I fix text copied from a PDF?
Tick “Join broken lines (PDF text)”. Lines inside a paragraph are joined, and blank lines between paragraphs are kept.
How do I remove double spaces?
Keep “Collapse multiple spaces” on — any run of spaces becomes a single space.
Will it delete my paragraphs?
Only if you choose “Remove empty lines” or “Remove all line breaks”. Otherwise paragraph breaks are kept.
