How to use the Remove Duplicate Lines
- Paste your list, one item per line.
- Choose the matching options.
- Copy or download the unique lines.
About this tool
Cleaning a contact list, a keyword list or exported data usually means getting rid of repeats. This tool keeps the first time each line appears and drops later copies, so the order of your list doesn’t change (unlike sorting-based methods in Excel).
Tick “Ignore upper/lower case” to treat “Delhi” and “delhi” as the same, and keep “Trim spaces” on so that a stray space at the end of a line doesn’t make it look unique.
Frequently asked questions
Does it change the order of my lines?
No. Each line stays where it first appeared; only the later repeats are removed.
Can I remove duplicate emails or phone numbers from a list?
Yes — paste them one per line. Turn on “Ignore upper/lower case” for emails, because email addresses are not case-sensitive in practice.
Is there a size limit?
No fixed limit. Lists of hundreds of thousands of lines work on most computers because everything runs locally.
