About this tool

E-books, research papers and phone scans often have huge white margins that make text tiny on a phone or tablet. Enter how much to trim from each side; the shaded area on each thumbnail shows what will be cut. Apply it to every page or only the pages you tap.

Cropping sets the page’s visible area (its CropBox and MediaBox). Content outside is hidden rather than deleted, so the file size stays about the same and text remains sharp and selectable.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping delete the hidden content?

No. It’s hidden from view and printing, but technically still inside the file. Don’t rely on cropping to remove sensitive information.

How much is 10 mm?

About 0.4 inch. An A4 page is 210 × 297 mm, so 10 mm per side leaves 190 × 277 mm.

Can I crop just one page?

Yes — choose “Only the pages I tap” and select that page.
