About this tool
Border mode adds an even frame around the photo in any colour — white for a classic print look, black for drama, or your brand colour. Rounded corners give a modern, app-style look; when they’re on, the image is saved as a PNG so the corners stay transparent.
Fit mode places the whole photo on a square, 4:5 portrait, 9:16 or 16:9 canvas, so Instagram, WhatsApp Status or YouTube don’t crop off heads or the edges of a landscape shot. The empty space is filled with a soft blurred copy of the photo or a solid colour, and the result is sized at 1080 px wide, the width Instagram uses.
Frequently asked questions
How do I post a full photo on Instagram without cropping?
Choose “Fit whole photo”, pick 1:1 or 4:5 and a blurred or white background, then save. The whole photo stays visible.
Why did my image become a PNG?
Rounded corners need transparency, which JPG doesn’t support, so the tool saves a PNG when the corner radius is above 0.
Will the photo lose quality?
In border mode the photo keeps its original pixels. In fit mode with 1080 px output, large photos are scaled down to Instagram’s size; choose “Keep original resolution” to avoid that.
Is my image uploaded?
No. It is processed in your browser only.
